Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) supporting students in a dynamic educational setting near Jacksonville, FL. This full-time role is ideal for professionals dedicated to fostering positive behavioral outcomes for elementary-aged students in a school environment.
In this position, you will start by providing one-on-one behavioral support to an elementary student, with the intention of gradually transitioning to an itinerant role across multiple schools within a low-incidence program. Your daily contribution will have a meaningful impact, helping students develop critical skills and thrive in their academic environment.
Qualifications:
- Current and active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a school or educational setting
- Flexibility to adapt from supporting a single student to serving multiple schools within a district
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to complete required fingerprinting and credentialing processes (including verifying previous fingerprints through the AHCA Clearinghouse if applicable, and securing a JLA badge)
- Commitment to uphold school policies and ethical guidelines
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 behavioral interventions for an assigned elementary student
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and program specialists to implement individualized intervention plans
- Monitor and collect data on student progress and behavior
- Transition to supporting 3-4 school sites, delivering services within the low-incidence program
- Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings as required
This contract position runs from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week. On-site presence is required; remote or VOCO work is not available.
