Travel RN - Med/Surg - Bone Marrow Transplant/BMT

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a BMT/Oncology position in Austin, TX, requiring ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification (15.25 contact hours) and TCT experience for night shift coverage. Requirements Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment) ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate (full 15.25 contact hours — the 9-contact-hour fundamental certificate is not accepted) ONC certification required for all RNs working in oncology Minimum 1 year of recent oncology RN experience required TCT (Tumor-specific Cell Therapy) experience required BMT experience preferred; CAR‑T experience preferred US SSN and date of birth required for consideration One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri) No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Responsibilities Located on the 6th floor of a hospital's BMT/Oncology unit with 24 beds Cares for oncology and cell therapy/transplant patients, including chemotherapy, biotherapy, blood product administration, and cell transplants Patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4 Uses Alaris pumps and documents in Meditech EMR Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts Rotating weekends required No on-call requirements Frequent lab draws performed on the unit Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy/biotherapy, managing blood products, performing frequent lab draws, and supporting cell transplant patients Per facility policy, only RNs with documented competency and a completed ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certificate may administer chemotherapy Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC, 7 RNs, and 2 PCTs; night shift includes 1 CNC, 7 RNs, and 1 PCT Scrub color required: navy No artificial or gel nails permitted; masks are required in all patient care areas Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible, no exceptions Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-716159 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
