Senior Corporate Communications Specialist

Support proactive external communications initiatives - including media relations - to protect and promote UL Solutions brand and reputation with GEO in mind. Assist with communications efforts for corporate-level initiatives. Help develop media pitches and create media lists to secure top-tier media coverage. Assist with corporate social media strategy and other owned media, working closely with full Communications teams. Conduct research for executive speaking opportunities and help with execution. Step in as called on for writing, editing, handling inbound media inquiries, etc. Work in close collaboration with colleagues across the global Communications team and key colleagues across businesses and corporate functions. You Are... The ideal candidate will be a creative, strategic thinker and storyteller with solid news judgement; high energy, flexible and detail-oriented. Excellent writing and editing skills. Previous experience working with a publicly traded company in an external communications role, either in-house or with an agency. Experience executing external communications strategies, including for social media and other owned media, backed by solid metrics-driven approach. Media relations experience - developing relationships, arranging interviews, taking inquiries, etc. Ability to translate complex ideas into simple, compelling communications. BS/BA degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field 5-7 years of related experience Familiarity and ease working with communications technology, including or similar to Business Wire, Muck Rack, SharePoint, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft suite, etc. What you'll experience working for ULS UL Solutions has been pioneering change since 1894 and we're still leading the way. UL.com Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 USD and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday and personal days (totaling 12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
