Customer Service Representative

About the Role Our client, a healthcare organization in Salem, is looking for a Healthcare Customer Service Representative to support Medicare Advantage members in a high-volume call center. You'll answer coverage and claims questions, explain benefits clearly, and resolve member concerns with empathy and professionalism. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential, and remote or hybrid work may be possible once converted to permanent. What You'll Do Provide excellent customer service to Medicare Advantage members on inbound and outbound calls Answer coverage, benefits, and claims-related questions Accurately interpret benefits and policy provisions Research, investigate, and triage member concerns, following up for prompt resolution Explain benefits in a detailed, courteous way so members understand their options Navigate multiple systems to review and update member information and document interactions Meet call center quality and productivity expectations What You Bring Customer service experience Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft tools Excellent phone etiquette, professionalism, and empathy Nice to Have Call center experience Healthcare or health insurance experience Experience with Medicare Advantage members Work Environment On-site in a structured, fast-paced call center in Salem, OR. Professional attire is expected. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salem, OR. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
