Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:


- Perform specimen collection through venipunctures and finger sticks.
- Ensure specimen identification and appropriateness for testing.
- Use aseptic techniques for sample processing and prepare necessary paperwork.
- Communicate clearly with patients to obtain information and explain procedures.
- Collaborate with departments and staff, including physicians, to enhance lab workflow.
- Monitor and maintain lab equipment, coordinating with engineering and technical consultants.
- Manage supply ordering process, including checking for expiry dates and stock rotation.
- Work with the Lead Phlebotomist on quality control procedures and proficiency testing.

Job Requirements:


- High School Education/GED or equivalent.
- Preferred: Associate's/Technical Degree or related experience.
- Required Certification: Phlebotomy Technician (CPT I/CPT II) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Additional Information:


- Minimum two years of recent experience in the field.
- Available for day shifts, full-time hours.
