Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pulmonary

Location: 1100 Central Avenue SE, Albuquerque, NM. Compensation: $27.92 - $42.63 per hour. Presbyterian is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. As an RRT, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders, helping improve patient outcomes and quality of life. Benefits & Differentials Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available for qualified candidates. Shift differentials: nights $5.00 and weekends $3.00. Preceptor differential and additional pay for higher education, certifications, and lead roles. Responsibilities Assists physicians with bronchoscopy procedures under departmental policy, including monitoring and assessment of consciousness, cardiovascular, and pulmonary systems, and delivery of IV conscious sedation agents including opioids, benzodiazepines, and sedative-hypnotics. Initiates ventilator protocols and coordinates ventilator management. Performs advanced airway care, including tracheotomy changes, extubation, and intubation. Initiates and monitors high-frequency ventilators. In the NICU, performs surfactant delivery, intubation, and attends high-risk deliveries. Optional procedures include transport team participation, intubation, and backup charge therapist duties. Initiates and monitors nitric oxide delivery. Performs department-specific functions as detailed within the summary of the department-specific duties. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy. Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) or Respiratory Care Practitioner. Boards: BLS, ACLS, and/or PALSA. Six months to one year of critical care experience preferred. AA/EOE/VET/DISABLED.
