Client Partner- Banking & Financial Services

Own and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts across payments, banking, and financial services. Develop trusted, senior-level relationships (VP to C-suite) across clients and prospects, acting as a strategic advisor on digital transformation priorities. Lead full commercial cycles: account planning, opportunity identification, RFP responses, commercial negotiation, and deal closure. Collaborate closely with delivery, pre-sales, and solution architecture teams to ensure successful project outcomes and identify upsell opportunities. Drive proactive farming and expansion of the existing client base. Stay current on payment regulations and industry mandates (e.g., FedNow, RTP, PSD2 / Open Banking, ISO 20022) and leverage this knowledge to shape timely, relevant client conversations. Represent Client at key industry events such as Sibos, Money20/20, and BAI; contribute to thought leadership in payments and open banking. Provide accurate pipeline forecasting and maintain CRM hygiene to support business planning and executive reporting. Requirements Experience 10+ years in client-facing sales or account management within IT services, consulting, or fintech — with at least 8 years focused on BFS and payments clients. Demonstrated track record of closing and expanding complex, multi-stakeholder deals of $1M+ ACV. Experience selling digital transformation, software development, or managed services engagements to financial institutions. Established network of senior relationships (VP / C-suite) within US banks, fintech, payment processors, or card networks. Domain Expertise Deep knowledge of the BFS payments landscape — with expertise in at least two of: open banking, instant payments (FedNow / RTP), ACH, cross-border payments, core banking modernisation, or card processing. Familiarity with relevant regulation and industry initiatives (e.g. PSD2, FedNow, ISO 20022 migration, SWIFT gpi). Ability to engage credibly with both technology buyers (CTO, CIO) and business buyers (COO, Head of Payments) simultaneously. Skills & Attributes Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills. Strong commercial acumen — able to structure, negotiate, and close complex multi-year deals. Collaborative — able to orchestrate internal cross-functional teams (delivery, pre-sales, legal, finance) around client opportunities.
