The posted compensation range of $54.06 - $70.55/hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

We are not currently accepting new graduate or new to speciality applications. Our next posting period will be July 1, 2026 for an October 16, 2026 start date. Positions can be found under National Resident RN (<12 months experience as an RN) or RN Transition/Fellowship (>12 months experience as an RN.

As a RN Sub-Acute Care at Community Hospital San Bernardino, you oversee a unit of frontline nurses caring for patients. Your previous experience in acute care adds tremendous value to our nursing team.

Every interaction is an opportunity to improve your understanding of a patient's needs, the needs of your nursing team, or the needs of your unit. You'll advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential, which aligns with your department's operational goals and objectives.

To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions with physicians, consultants and family advocates. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.

Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care including patient's plan of care, medication administration, responding to emergencies and supervising the nursing care on the unit.
• Ability to serve as leader and teammate.
• Ensure your direct reports and department are positioned to deliver the best care possible to our patients.
• High level of engagement with the floor- visibly connecting with physicians, nurses, patients, and families.
• Monitor the efficiency of your department
• Mentor people on your team. Share your knowledge and confidence with assistant nurse managers, charge nurses, and others

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months RN experience in acute or long term care
• Current and Active CA RN License
• Current BLS certification
