Collision Repair Expert

The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies is currently seeking a Collision Repair Expert to join its Eastern/Central Claims Service Center team. As a CRE, you're accountable for:

• Reviewing and re-inspecting vehicle appraisals prepared by independent appraisers and direct repair facilities on an ongoing basis.
• Preparing regular reports on activities.
• Ensuring that all appraisals are completed in compliance with all Chubb guidelines, statutory regulations, and all Unfair Claim Practices Acts.
• Overseeing external vendors and claim programs within the territory.
• Actively addressing all problems and issues with appropriate parties.
• Acting as the main communication channel between Chubb and independent appraisal firms and direct repair facilities.
• Providing Chubb claim offices with assistance in the resolution of appraisal issues.
• Assisting in the management of salvage in the serviced territory.
• Assisting in the staff training and education initiatives.
• Identifying and pro-actively addressing fraudulent claim activity.
• Completing emergency appraisals when required.
• Evaluating and determining repairable vs total loss vehicles.
• Responding to CAT losses in other areas of the US.
• Position requires travel.
• Territory will include but not limited to, Cincinnati, Pittsburg, Philadelphia and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

Required insurance industry or related experience with the highest level of technical knowledge, skills and proficiency in the following areas:

• Strong knowledge of current collision repair procedures and determining repair costs.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle damage and loss evaluation.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle estimating databases.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of applicable state requirements and guidelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Commercial and Personal lines policy coverage's.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Training competencies to impart knowledge to staff.
• I-CAR trained or OEM certified

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of insurance claims or related field experience.

Licensure Requirement: If you do not already have one, you will be required to obtain an applicable resident or designated home state adjusters license and possibly additional state licensure.
