Powerline TechnicianJob Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair overhead and underground distribution systemsPerform climbing and aerial work independently on routine tasksSafely assist in energized line work within certification levelSet poles, frame structures, and install conductors and transformersOperate bucket trucks, digger derricks, and related equipmentRead and interpret work orders, maps, and basic drawingsMentor Lineman C and Groundhands in proper proceduresEnsure compliance with OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, and company safety standardsComplete required documentation accurately (inspections, logs, etc.)RequirementsSeveral years of powerline experienceDemonstrated progression in climbing and linework skillsCDL Class A requiredWorking knowledge of energized work practices and utility standardsStrong safety awareness and communication skillsWorking ConditionsWork is performed outside in all types of weather environments.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to bend, climb, stoop, stand, and lift for long periods of time.Substantial movements of the hands, wrists, and/or fingers.Required to have close visual acuity to perform job duties.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
