Shipping Associate Job Location:Benicia, California Job Type:Direct Hire Pay Rate:$43,680 - $52,000/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7am-3:30pm Description of Position:Do you have experience in Shipping and Receiving? Our client in Benicia, CA is looking for an experienced Shipping Associate to join their team. This position is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, pulling and inspecting inventory, safely packaging and palletizing products, and ensuring orders are shipped accurately and on time. The ideal candidate has strong shipping and receiving experience, forklift and pallet jack experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Job Responsibilities:Pull, inspect, and verify orders against inventoryWrap, protect palletize, and crate products for shipmentUse straps, foam, cardboard, and stretch wrap to safely protect freightSafely load and unload trucks using a forklift and pallet jackPrepare packing slips, pick tickets, and Bills of Lading (BOLs)Attach shipping documentation accurately to ongoing shipmentsUpdate shipping information in computer systemsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping areaMonitor shipping deadlines and communicate delays or issues to the Shipping ManagerCommunicate with carriers and customers when neededDirect and coordinate temporary shipping staffWork at a fast manufacturing pace while maintaining quality and accuracy Description of Company:You will be joining our esteemed millwork shop in Benicia, California, where we prioritize quality and safety in everything we do.
