Job Title: Laboratory Technician Job Description Join our team as a Laboratory Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products. You will be responsible for verifying the quality of incoming raw materials and outgoing products using established methods. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to sustainability-focused work that supports critical industries such as chemical processing, food and beverage, and manufacturing. Responsibilities Verify the quality of incoming raw materials and outgoing products using established methods. Prepare laboratory reagents and maintain appropriate holding areas for retain samples. Enter test data into SAP or LIMS systems. File vendor certifications and raw materials and production inspections. Participate in general housekeeping, including routine cleaning and maintenance. Perform other duties as requested by management. Essential Skills Experience in Chemistry, Laboratory, Biology, Quality Assurance, Wet Chemistry, and Titration. 0‑2 years of experience in a similar role. Bachelor's Degree preferred in Chemistry, but Biology or Physics will be considered. Proficiency in pH, FTIR, Viscosity, and Quality Control. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with titrations, pH, BF Viscosity, Specific Gravity, and FTIR. Work Environment Located in Chicago, the facility operates as a Nalco Company branch focused on industrial chemicals, water treatment, and process improvement solutions. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 10 PM to 6:30 AM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
