Join a dedicated healthcare team supporting both administrative and clinical needs of licensed medical professionals. This role involves assisting with patient vital signs, updating medical records, and compiling relevant data while adhering to regulatory and quality standards. You will provide direct patient care under supervision, ensuring comfort and safety throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain patient confidentiality, dignity, and well-being at all times.
• Accurately document patient care and communications.
• Collect and process point-of-care, lab, and pathology samples following established protocols.
• Perform quality and safety checks on testing equipment and supplies.
• Provide patient education as directed by healthcare providers.
• Administer treatments, dressing changes, medications, and therapies under licensed provider orders.
• Assist providers during procedures and examinations.
• Prepare and handle reusable instruments for sterilization.
• Dispose of biohazard and pharmaceutical waste according to OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient care environment following infection prevention standards.
• Manage supply inventory in designated areas.
• Support front desk operations including greeting patients and scheduling appointments.
• Assist with coding and billing processes.
• Coordinate with external healthcare partners to support patient care plans.
• Monitor and respond to electronic communications promptly.
• Perform components of well visits and scheduled nursing visits as directed.
• Complete all required documentation prior to provider visits.
• Conduct high-level disinfection procedures as required.
• Flexibly float to other clinics as needed.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with successful completion of a nationally recognized certification exam (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Preferred: Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in an outpatient setting.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening situations and activate emergency services.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and providers both in person and via phone.
• Physical ability to perform clinical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Comfortable with potential exposure to blood or infectious materials.
