Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 3 years of Operating Room experience required License: Active RN License required Certifications: AHA BLS, CO or Compact RN License Must-Have: Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center experience required Epic experience required No first-time travelers accepted Description: The role requires a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room. The nurse will work 12-hour shifts starting at 6:45 AM. Floating to other Operating Rooms may be required. Weekend and on-call shifts will be as needed. The unit is a Level 1 Trauma Center with 41 operating rooms. Daily census ranges from 90 to 110 patients. Qualified candidates must have experience in a variety of procedures, including general, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastics. The nurse will be expected to circulate during emergency procedures, including craniotomies. Successful candidates will need to adapt to the facility's needs and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling. Completion of facility-specific modules is required within the first week of the assignment. Time off requests are limited to a maximum of 10 days. Specific blackout periods for time off have been established and must be observed.
