Role Description The Controller/HR Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Honolulu, HI, responsible for overseeing accounting and human resources functions. Day-to-day duties include managing general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting to support business decision-making. The role also covers HR operations such as recruitment support, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance with employment laws, and maintaining employee records and policies. This position partners with leadership to monitor budgets, optimize internal processes, implement controls, and support a positive, consistent workplace culture. The Controller/HR Manager will collaborate with management and team members to ensure accurate financials, timely HR services, and adherence to company standards.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong accounting and finance skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, budgeting, and payroll administration.
• Candidates should possess human resources skills such as employee relations, recruiting support, onboarding, benefits administration, and HR policy implementation.
• Candidates should possess skills in compliance and risk management, including knowledge of employment laws, basic tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Candidates should possess organizational and administrative skills, including attention to detail, time management, documentation, and process improvement.
• Candidates should possess communication and collaboration skills, including clear written and verbal communication, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively with leadership and staff.
• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or HR, or equivalent experience, are beneficial.
• Prior experience in a small to medium-sized business environment and proficiency with accounting and HR software are beneficial. xhyhwjd
