Job Requirements & Qualifications: Previous charge experience, 2 years of experience, patient ratio experience, charting system experience preferred (Epic), community hospital experience required, LTAC experience not required, trauma level I and II experience not required, travel experience required. Certifications: BLS, CBSPD. Skills: Acute hospital OR, ambulatory surgery center, biological indicators, bronchoscopes, case cart, chemical indicators, cleaning equipment (crash carts, IV pumps, PCA pumps), colonoscopes, ear/nose/throat, EGD scopes, equipment documentation, fiber optics, flex sigmoidoscopes, general, high-level disinfection (HLD), immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS), laparoscopic, neurology, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics, proper selection of wrapping materials, robotics, scope/probe reprocessing, sets/trays assembly, steam sterilization testing/monitoring, sterilization wrapping procedures, urology, use of washers/sterilizers, aseptic technique.

Unit Details: Staffing & Scheduling: Scheduling type other, patient ratios days, nights, weekends not specified, float required, call required, weekend coverage, number of weekend shifts per contract, pre-approved time off one, orientation hours 40. Facility & Patient Care Details: Patient age groups adults, geriatrics, daily census 35, number of rooms 14. Additional unit information interdisciplinary support not specified, patient diagnoses orthopedics, neurosurgery, spine, robotics, eyes, urology, general surgery, podiatry, GI lab, ENT, GYN. Sterile processing decontamination and clean assembly areas located on 2 floors of the hospital. Special procedures/unit details not specified, special equipment required: SPD instrument tracking, SPD sterilization equipment, SPD decontam equipment.

Travel Compliance: Fingerprints required. Internal cost for all new Aya Direct assignments (not extension): $88.30 FOR APN, this cost will be passed to Agency on WOC. All RTO must be listed at time of submittal. Aya Offer Units: Max of 4 days RTO can be auto approved. Pending NM/Compact license accepted (must be obtained prior to start). 50 mile local radius, locals not accepted. Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler. The Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center is a part of this main location. Floating: Unless specifically stated otherwise, travelers will be expected to float to like units within their scope, as needed based on facility needs. Travelers will receive brief orientation on the unit. Once contract is signed, traveler is expected to go in for labs within 48 business hours (please notify at time of submittal if you/traveler foresee any reasons for compliance delays). Modules: Modules are non-billable, all hours are factored in NBO RN average 4-6 hours, Allied 2-3 hours. Modules are completed onsite during orientation. Modules are recorded via transcripts.
