Job Title Clinical Lab Scientist II Classification Clinical Lab Scientist II Salary Range $6,381 - $9,296 per month Work Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; occasional early morning, evening and/or weekend hours. Responsibilities Provide leadership and accountability for the technical administration and daily functioning of the laboratory at the Student Health Center. Perform wide, complex, advanced, and standard clinical laboratory tests to assist medical providers in diagnosis and treatment. Review all documentation related to the Clinical Laboratory. Lead staff members, direct work schedules, and perform quality control procedures. Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies, request and approve purchase orders, and manage invoices. Prepare for lab inspection and accreditation visits. Complete special projects as assigned and attend department lead meetings. Troubleshoot problems between EMR, LIS, and reference lab interfaces. Essential Qualifications Minimum of two years’ experience in an accredited laboratory with knowledge of clinical laboratory science, equipment, and systems. Thorough knowledge of clinical quality control procedures and standards, laboratory disciplines, tests, and procedures. Proficiency with automated computer systems used in clinical laboratory settings. Knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to clinical laboratories. Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science or equivalent from an accredited institution, meeting California Division of Laboratory Science requirements. Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license. Completed background check. Special Working Conditions Reliable means of transportation.
