Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to critically ill newborns in a Level 4 NICU setting.Position DetailsUnit Type: NICU (Level 4)Shift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekWeekend Requirement: 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks (Saturdays and Sundays)Holidays: Based on unit coverageResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional nursing care to critically ill neonatesAdminister medications and treatments in accordance with established protocolsMaintain a sterile field during procedures and interventionsCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomesPerform assessments and monitor patients for any changes in conditionEducate families on care strategies and protocolsQualificationsYears of Experience: Minimum 3 years of Level 4 NICU experience required; busy Level 3 NICU experience may also be consideredRequired Certifications: BLS Certification, NRP; Cardiac STABLE certification is a plusFamiliarity with EMR: Experience with Cerner preferredTravel Experience: Previous travel experience preferredUnit InformationBed Capacity: 71 total beds, including 17 stepdown bedsNurse-to-Patient Ratios: 1:2 in ICU, 1:3 in Level 2Support Staff: 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT) per shiftSpecialties: Care for premature infants, infants with cardiac defects, genetic disorders, and surgical casesOrientation: 2-3 days of floor-specific orientationAdditional NotesTravelers will be required to complete a SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion as part of their onboarding process. Strong knowledge of maintaining a sterile field is critical.
