Controls, Automation & Electrical Technician (3rd Shift) Location: Onsite, Lathrop, CA Shift: 3rd Shift | Alternative Work Schedule | 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM Compensation: Starting at $38.50/hour (including shift differential) + additional pay based on experience Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Controls, Automation & Electrical Technician to join our manufacturing maintenance team on 3rd shift. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial automation and electrical systems that support high-speed manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, robotics, and industrial controls, along with a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, robotics, and automated manufacturing equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical systems, wiring, sensors, motors, instrumentation, and control devices. Support equipment installations, automation upgrades, commissioning, and process improvement initiatives. Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime. Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including FDA requirements where applicable. Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and work order records. Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues and improve system performance. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial automation, electrical maintenance, or controls. Hands‑on experience troubleshooting and programming Allen–Bradley PLCs. Experience with HMIs, VFDs, instrumentation, motion control, and electrical schematics. Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication skills and commitment to workplace safety. Preferred Experience with Beckhoff PLCs, Fanuc robotics, or machine vision systems. Experience supporting automated manufacturing or food production environments. Knowledge of continuous improvement or lean manufacturing principles.
