This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, values food safety, and takes pride in supporting children's health and well-being. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Follow all food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures Monitor food allergies and dietary restrictions to ensure child safety Maintain food inventory and assist with ordering supplies Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and inspection-ready Communicate menu information and allergy updates with teaching staff Ensure compliance with Michigan licensing and health regulations Qualifications Food Handler certification required or ability to obtain Childcare or preschool food service experience preferred Strong organization and time management skills Ability to work independently and efficiently Must meet Michigan licensing requirements What We Offer Competitive pay of $16-$19 per hour based on experience Consistent weekday schedule Supportive team environment Professional development opportunities Employee childcare discount Compensation: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour The Learning Experience At The Learning Experience, we make early education joyful, engaging and fun so children are happy to learn, play and grow Our curriculum focuses on the six ages and stages of early childhood development and engages children in hands-on learning activities that encourage them to explore and solve problems at their own rate of development.
