Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for oncology patients or an assigned patient group in an outpatient oncology care area, following established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient status and implement individualized care plans; adjust care as needed in collaboration with the care team.
- Administer medications and monitor for therapeutic effects and adverse reactions; document care accurately in the patient record.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at multiple levels; provide guidance and supervision consistent with licensure and scope of practice.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary disciplines, using critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing education and discharge planning as appropriate.

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license with eligibility to practice in California (or appropriate state for the assignment).
- Experience in oncology or outpatient nursing settings preferred.
- Ability to work in an outpatient oncology environment, with strong clinical judgment and documentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise nursing staff and coordinate care with the broader health care team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with patients and families in a professional manner.
- Availability to work daytime hours, 9-hour shifts, as part of a travel assignment.
