Position: Registered Nurse

Location: Operating Room

Schedule: 40 Hours per week, 4-10 hour shifts (Call required)

As an Operating Room RN, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Using our patient-centered care model you will be uplifted by a supportive nursing organization and will be able to deliver the excellent care to your patients that they deserve.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care in the Perioperative Services unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
• Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
• Update and manage patient records
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC-Brighton's nursing organization
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects

Education Requirements:

• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years

Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Certification in basic life support (BLS)
• CNOR certification (preferred)
• Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification (Preferred)

Experience:

• 2 years' registered Nurse experience required
• 1 year of operating room experience (2 years preferred)
• Must be experienced in a circulating role

Knowledge & Skills:

• Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty, certification required for certain practice areas
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
• Basic computer proficiency
• Fluency in another language a plus

Compensation Range: $39.02- $90.05

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
