Senior Accountant

Responsibilities Kforce's client, a growing West Michigan manufacturer, is seeking an Accountant to join its team due to an upcoming retirement. Direct visibility to executive leadership Stable organization with strong growth trajectory Opportunity to transition into the role alongside the incumbent Bonus potential and long‑term career stability Key Responsibilities Support month‑end close and general accounting processes Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting support Assist with budgeting and ongoing financial analysis Partner cross‑functionally to support operational and financial needs Coordinate with external CPA firm on periodic reporting and annual review Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2‑6+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment Strong Excel skills (formulas, data analysis) Experience with ERP/accounting systems Detail‑oriented with a hands‑on, team‑oriented approach Compensation and Benefits The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
