Hours and Location Monday – Friday 5:00am – 1:30pm We’re committed to offering you stable hours for the financial security and work life balance you need. The normal setting for this job is a repair / maintenance shop at our Cicero, IL hauling site. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment. Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts. Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs). Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns. Conduct safety checks on vehicles – the safety of every single employee and the people in our communities is our number one priority. Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times. Assist senior Mechanics in the completion of project work. Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Qualifications 4 years of relevant work experience A valid driver's license, with a clean driving record Be over 18 years of age. Legally eligible to work in the United States. Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical. Physical Demands & Work Environment Required to exert physical effort that includes frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constantly standing, walking, and grasping; occasionally sitting and balancing. Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) often. Required to be exposed to a physical environment that involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often. This job operates in both an inside garage/shop or gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. Safety & Testing Carried out in a safety sensitive environment and may require compliance with all safety rules and protocols. Employees may be subject to drug and alcohol testing—a pre‑employment screening and periodic testing in accordance with government regulations and company policies.
