Direct Care Worker
University Home Care Inc is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Worker to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI. This role involves providing essential support and care to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being, comfort, and safety. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients in their homes or community settings.
- Monitor and report changes in client condition or behavior to supervisors and healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients.
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals and family members.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in direct care or related field is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude toward clients.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Ability to pass background checks.
