Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

• High School completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <40 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: RightSourcing Program - Hackensack Meridian Health.

Additional Details:

Failed fit tests due to facial hair and inability to shave automatically disqualify the clinician from proceeding.

Required Skills/Experience: Mechanical ventilation management, airway management, and arterial blood gas analysis required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: 3 years of experience preferred.

Required Credentials: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.

Unit Details: Provides respiratory care therapy and supportive equipment for hospitalized patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies. Includes intubation assistance, ventilator setup and management, diagnostic evaluation, and patient-specific disease education.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled are required, including 1 summer and 1 winter holiday. No on-call required.

7 days maximum time off

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
