Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance / Data Retention Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing data governance and retention policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the organization in maintaining data integrity and security. This role requires a strong understanding of data management principles and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data governance and retention policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements related to data management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address data governance and retention needs.
• Monitor and audit data retention practices to ensure adherence to established policies.
• Provide training and support to teams on data governance best practices.
• Analyze and resolve data-related issues and discrepancies.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data governance and retention.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data governance, data retention, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of data management principles and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with data governance tools and technologies is a plus.

Pay Range: $80/hr - $85/hr on W2

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
