Position: Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Address: Neptune, NJ 07754

Duration: 10/19/2026 - 01/16/2027 (13 Weeks)

Shift: Evenings | 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM

Schedule: 3 x 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week

Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required. Holidays required. On-call required after 90 days. Float to Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) as needed.

Pay Rate: $60-$65/hr.

Assignment Details

Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures in the Operating Room.
Perform patient assessments, develop nursing care plans, implement clinical interventions, and evaluate patient responses throughout the perioperative process.
Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary surgical team.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and infection control standards.
Assign and oversee the work of non-nursing direct care staff in the Operating Room.

Requirements

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in an acute care hospital.
Level I Trauma experience required.
Experience with Endovascular, Spine, Neuro, Orthopedic, and Orthopedic Trauma procedures required.
Scrub experience is a plus.

Required Skills: Operating Room Nursing, Perioperative Nursing, Patient Assessment, Nursing Care Plans, Surgical Documentation, Endovascular Procedures, Spine Procedures, Neuro Procedures, Orthopedic Procedures, Orthopedic Trauma.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing required.
BSN preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

Active New Jersey RN License or Multi-State Compact RN License.
AHA BLS required.
AHA ACLS preferred.
AHA PALS preferred.

Languages

English (Read, Write, Speak)

Note

Float to ASC within the facility as needed.
Epic Test-Out required before start.
