Quality Inspector

The AOI Inspector is responsible for performing quality inspections on electronic assemblies using Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and X-ray equipment. This role involves conducting First Article Inspections, documenting inspection results, and ensuring products meet quality and workmanship standards. The position may also require light solder touch-up, providing feedback to the team, and assisting in training new inspectors. Candidates should possess at least two years of electronic assembly or rework experience, knowledge of IPC standards, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections on electronic assemblies using AOI and X-ray equipment.
• Conduct First Article Inspections and document inspection results.
• Ensure products meet quality and workmanship standards.
• Provide light solder touch-up as needed.
• Offer feedback to the team to improve quality processes.
• Assist in training new inspectors to uphold quality standards.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of electronic assembly and rework experience.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-600 and IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.
• Experience operating AOI and X-ray equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of circuit board inspection and quality control.
• Familiarity with SMT processes.

Work Environment

Work on the 2nd shift from 2:30pm to 11pm on the manufacturing floor, utilizing advanced inspection technologies such as AOI and X-ray equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oak Creek, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $21.50/hr.
