Specific details regarding call frequency and response times will be discussed during the interview.**License and Certification*** Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing* Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire**Education*** RN-Associate’s Degree, or* RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or* RN-Diploma, or* RN-Master’s Degree**Registered Nurse (RN) – Same Day Surgery (Multi-Specialty)**We are seeking a versatile and skilled **Registered Nurse** to join our Same Day Surgery team. This role is perfect for a clinician who thrives on variety, as you will provide care for a diverse patient population undergoing a wide range of surgical interventions.In this position, you will rotate between **Pre-Operative Preparation** and **Phase II Recovery/Discharge**, serving as a critical link in the patient's surgical journey from arrival to home-going.**Clinical Scope**Our center handles a high acuity mix of cases. You will provide specialized perianesthesia care for procedures including, but not limited to:* **Vascular & Oncology*** **Orthopedics & General Surgery*** **Urology & Gynecology*** **Bariatrics****Key Responsibilities*** **Pre-Op Excellence:** Perform comprehensive physical assessments, initiate IV access, and ensure patients are clinically and emotionally prepared for surgery.* **Post-Op Recovery:** Manage Phase II recovery, focusing on pain management, hemodynamic stability, and surgical site monitoring.* **Specialized Care:** Adapt nursing interventions based on the specific needs of the surgical specialty (e.g., mobility protocols for Orthopedics or education for Bariatric patients).* **Safe Discharge:****Qualifications*** **Licensure:** Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.* **Certifications:** BLS and ACLS required.* **Experience:** Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience.
