Wellness Director (RN/LPN)

Location: Assisted Living Community
Reports To: Executive Director

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Wellness Director to lead the clinical and wellness services within our assisted living community. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of resident care, ensuring high-quality service delivery, regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture centered on safety, dignity, and holistic care.

• Lead daily clinical and wellness operations for the community

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of resident assessments, care plans, and documentation

• Oversee all medication management processes, including ordering, administration, reconciliation, and recordkeeping

• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise nursing and caregiving team members

• Respond to resident health concerns and coordinate care with physicians and healthcare providers

• Manage incident reporting, investigations, fall prevention initiatives, and follow-up actions

• Maintain compliance with Florida AHCA regulations, OSHA standards, infection control protocols, and resident rights

• Oversee departmental budgeting, payroll, and staffing efficiencies

• Serve as a trusted clinical resource for residents and their families

• Provide on-call clinical support as needed

• Active Florida RN or LPN license (required)

• 3–5 years of leadership experience in assisted living, senior living, or healthcare settings

• Strong knowledge of Florida assisted living regulations and compliance standards

• Experience with staff supervision, scheduling, payroll, and electronic health records (EHR) systems

• Current CPR certification

• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building abilities

• Ability to balance clinical, operational, and financial responsibilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with EHR and HRIS systems preferred

• Highly organized, collaborative, and resident-focused approach

• Successful completion of background screening, TB testing, and post-hire health requirements

• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations

• Availability for on-call responsibilities
