Job Summary: Assist Branch Manager with the management of employees, coordination and control of Credit Union services, and activities of the branch office. Responsible for delivering consistently exceptional member service as a single point of contact for consumer and commercial in branch requests including monetary transactions, 7 17 CU online/mobile banking and remote service assistance, deposit account opening, maintenance and closing, loan interview, processing, closing and disbursals, and other misc. product and service delivery. May be assigned to work at branch locations including Trumbull, Mahoning, Portage and Summit locations.
All job positions at 7 17 Credit Union may be assigned further duties with or without notice, verbally or in writing. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
Primary Duties:
1. Assist Branch Manager with the management of employees; direct, train, and discipline with
approval.
a. Train and coach personnel on the skills to provide outstanding service and in the selling and cross selling of Credit Union services.
b. Provide motivation and tools and monitor results in order to develop a strong sales and service culture.
c. Assist to prepare materials for and conduct training meetings, review procedures, services or branch sales and service results.
d. Assist with conducting individual employee annual reviews and employee sales and service reviews. Also assist with required employee observations and coaching sessions when required as set forth annually by SVP, Market Executives.
2. Ensure that members are served professionally, promptly and efficiently.
3. Complete criminal referral reports pursuant to rule 1301:9-2-37 relating to state-chartered
credit unions when any apparent law is violated, and theft, fraud or other suspected or known criminal
activity occurs.
4. Resolve members’ problems and complaints in an empathetic, professional and courteous manner.
5. Assist with developing new business needed to reach branch growth goals.
Secondary Duties:
1. Maintain approved level of cash and report to SVP, Market Executive and Chief Financial Officer in accordance with Board Policy compliance policies.
2. Branch cash management including but not limited to cash ordering, remaining within established cash limits, ITM and recycler cash replenishment and settlement.
3. Assist in the assignment and performance of audits of vault cash, cash drawers and cash dispensers, ATMs/PTMs, and any consignment items with the required compliant record keeping.
4. In the absence or at the direction of the manager, take all necessary disciplinary action, including but not limited to, tardiness, unpaid absences, incorrect account posting, check/cash accuracy policy, as required by current 7 17 CU Union Employee handbook and/or Collective Bargaining Agreement.
5. Assist to gather appropriate information of employee outages for each month and take necessary disciplinary action in the absence of the manager.
6. Responsible for security and safety of the branch including but not limited to proper opening (including prescribed all clear signaling), closing, emergency evacuation, receiving alarm calls and taking proper action.
7. Submit recommendations for changes to Credit Union policies or procedures to the Respective Branch Managers when appropriate.
Confidentiality Requirements: Must keep members' transactions and other Credit Union business in strictest confidence.
Travel Demands: Must be able to travel as necessary.
Prerequisite Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Associate’s degree in in related field is preferred
Prerequisite Experience:
1. Must have a minimum of three years of Credit Union or related financial experience.
2. Must have the ability to supervise and manage employees, and be able to maintain an effective and efficient work schedule.

Certifications, licenses required once in the job: State of Ohio Credit Insurance License, Bondable, State and Federal registration to comply with the Safe Act, Notary, NMLS.
