Job Description

CDR General Services LLC is seeking a skilled and dependable Fitter to join our team in Hahnville, LA. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with hands-on fabrication experience who can work safely and accurately in a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate is motivated, reliable, and able to perform precision fitting and layout work to support production goals.

Job Details

Job Type: Full-Time
Job Location: Hahnville, Louisiana
Pay Rate: $24.00–$26.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities
• Measure, layout, and fit materials according to job specifications
• Cut materials using a torch and other fabrication tools
• Grind and prepare components for assembly
• Tack weld and assemble fitted pieces as required
• Inspect work to ensure accuracy, alignment, and quality standards
• Read and interpret basic fabrication instructions and measurements
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with team members to meet production requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must pass a skills test, drug screen, physical exam, and ID/SSN verification
• Ability to measure accurately and use fabrication tools safely
• Experience with torch cutting, grinding, and tack welding preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
• Reliable transportation required
• Strong commitment to safety, attendance, and quality workmanship
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
