Position Summary

The Production Supervisor leads the daily operations of our machine operator team. This is a working supervisor position that spends most of the day on the production floor coaching employees, monitoring production, solving problems, and ensuring our products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

You'll oversee approximately eight to ten machine operators while ensuring production schedules are met, standard operating procedures are followed, and safety remains the top priority.

Responsibilities

Daily Production Operations

• Lead the daily activities of the machine operator team
• Assign work and balance production priorities throughout the shift
• Monitor production output to ensure daily goals are achieved
• Troubleshoot production issues and escalate equipment concerns when needed
• Minimize downtime while maintaining quality standards

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and support a team of approximately eight to ten machine operators
• Train new employees on equipment, processes, and safety procedures
• Provide ongoing coaching, accountability, and performance feedback
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
• Lead by example through professionalism, work ethic, and attention to detail

Safety & Quality

• Ensure all safety procedures and company policies are followed
• Verify employees consistently follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process
• Identify and correct quality issues before products move to fulfillment
• Promote a clean, organized, and safe production environment

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and organization
• Help implement new equipment, software, and manufacturing processes
• Assist with documenting and updating Standard Operating Procedures
• Recommend improvements that increase throughput while maintaining quality and safety

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing, production, or warehouse operations
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to motivate and coach employees
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred

• Manufacturing or production experience
• Experience working with production metrics and daily output goals
• Experience training employees on SOPs and safety procedures
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort troubleshooting equipment
• Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
• Comfortable using computers and digital tools to support daily production operations
• Proficient with spreadsheets for tracking production performance, analyzing data, and maintaining reports
• Experience working with ERP, Warehouse Management Systems, or Production Management Systems
• Ability to learn and effectively use new software systems, scanners, and technology tools implemented to improve operational efficiency
• Strong attention to accuracy when entering, reviewing, and managing production and inventory data

Leadership & Ownership

This is a hands-on leadership role. Our supervisors work alongside their teams and take ownership of results. While the typical schedule is Monday through Friday, production demands can occasionally require additional time to meet important deadlines or support the team. We're looking for a leader who's willing to roll up their sleeves, solve problems, and do what's needed to help the team succeed.
