Security Officer

Description Receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer. Performs a variety of security responsibilities to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, hazardous materials, and illegal entry. Enforces Providence Health Care, facility and security policies and regulations. Investigates reports of potential criminal conduct against PRMCE staff, visitors, staff, and property; responds and assists in restraining patients; detains individuals when necessary; provides protective services to high risk areas; and performs Notary services. Required Qualifications Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Preferred Qualifications Associate's Degree 1 year Law Enforcement/Security/Military experience or 2 years of responsible work experience and prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
