Job Description
L&D RN

Schedule

6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. No on-call required.

Assignment Details

Will not float between units. No block schedules. Expected ratios are variable.

Requirements

• Must work independently as the sole Labor & Delivery nurse per shift.
• Ability to manage labor patients while also caring for OB triage and outpatient patients as needed.
• Assist with postpartum and nursery care when patient volumes and staffing needs warrant.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery patients.
• Monitor and document patient progress throughout labor and delivery.
• Collaborate with the charge nurse and other healthcare team members to ensure patient safety and care standards.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and post-delivery care.
• Respond swiftly to any emergencies or complications during the delivery process.
