Inside Sales Account Manager - Construction

Salary:
$50,000 - $70,000 Base Salary (DOE) + commission + Full benefits
In-office Monday-Friday in Gainesville, FL. 

Job Summary:
We are seeking an Inside Sales Account Manager to join a well-established, family-oriented manufacturing company serving the construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction sales professional with a background in multifamily projects, wood framing, and building materials . In this role, you'll develop new business, manage customer relationships from bid through project completion, and work closely with internal engineering and operations teams to ensure successful project execution. This is a long-term opportunity with a company that values its employees, customers, and community.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prospect and develop new multifamily construction customers and projects.
• Identify upcoming projects and secure opportunities to bid on truss packages.
• Prepare, coordinate, and deliver competitive project quotes.
• Follow up on bids, negotiate opportunities, and close new business.
• Build relationships with owners, general contractors, framers, and other decision-makers.
• Coordinate with engineering, estimating, and operations to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage post-sale communication, including engineering requests, RFIs, deliveries, repairs, and customer concerns.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits and customer meetings.
• Stay current on trends in multifamily construction, wood framing, and truss manufacturing.
• Maintain accurate records and collaborate effectively with internal teams.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of sales experience within the construction or building materials industry.
• Experience working with multifamily construction projects.
• Knowledge of wood framing and structural building components.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints.
• Experience performing construction material takeoffs.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to travel locally up to 10%.
