Part-Time Tasting Room Wine Experience Curator

Job Description:

Title: Seasonal Wine Experience Curator.

Join Anacréon Winery for the season as a Tasting House Wine Experience Curator. This role is a part time + position and is perfect for those with a passion for wine and customer service. As a Seasonal Tasting House Staff member, you will be at the forefront of our guest interactions, ensuring each visitor leaves with a memorable experience and a greater appreciation for Anacréon wines.

Responsibilities:
•  Greet and serve guests in a friendly and informative manner, maintain professional appearance.
•  Conduct wine tasting experiences with a high touch, educational and friendly demeanor.
•  Assist guests in selecting wines, providing recommendations based on their preferences.
•  Handle sales transactions and properly manage inventory, stocking and daily operational needs at the tasting house.
•  Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the tasting room.
•  Help with the setup and breakdown of events and special functions.
•  Ensure compliance with all relevant alcohol regulations and laws.
•    Maintain general appearance of tasting spaces to provide a brand-appropriate guest experience.
•    Assist as needed or assigned with set-up, stocking of supplies, etc.
•    Work in cooperation with the hospitality staff to achieve service and sales goals, and maintain reservations in TOCK.

Requirements:
•  Must be 21+ years of age or older.
•  Must have or be able to obtain a valid OLCC card and Food Handler's Permit.
•  Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Previous customer service experience, preferably in a winery, hospitality or retail setting.
•  A keen interest in learning about and discussing wine.
•  Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings as required.
•  Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift to 40 pounds.

*Occasional Evenings & Weekends are required for special events and vineyard experiences.

Preferred:
•  1-2 years knowledge of or experience in the wine industry.
•  1-2 years sales experiences in retail or wine.
•  Experience in the wine industry, fine dining, luxury restaurants or country clubs.

Training: All Seasonal Tasting House Staff will receive comprehensive training on our wines, the winemaking process, and customer service standards to ensure you are fully prepared to meet the needs of our guests.
