Quality Inspector

We are seeking a Quality Inspector for a manufacturing company in Bristol. The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience doing quality inspection in a manufacturing environment. The ability to use optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, and other measurement gauges is required. The candidate must be able to read and understand blueprints. Knowledge of GD&T is preferred. Hours are Monday-Wednesday 7am-4:30pm, Thursday 7am-3:30pm, Friday 7am-11am. ZPMLSTCM 

salary: $52,000 - $70,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings and specifications (Blueprint Reading)
• Work collaboratively with QA team members and other departments.
• Inspect, test, and measure products (receiving, first piece, in-process, final) and process.
• Communicate inspection results to manufacturing and engineering departments as necessary.
• Use of measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, pin gages, optical comparators, force testers, and hardness testers.
• Populate work order travelers with inspection documents.
• Calibrate and verify measurement devices.
• Generate NCM reports for products or processes that fail to meet specifications.
• Report production metrics using the ERP system.
• Collect, analyze, and retain QMS records to ensure compliance with QMS.
• Participate in layered process audit program.
• Create Certificates of Conformance (CoC) and send them to customers.
• Identify and suggest opportunities for improvement
