About the Role

Step into a day where precision defines everything you do. You set up for 6G welds, prep joints, verify fit-up, and lay down x‑ray quality beads on pipe ranging from 1/2” to 24” across schedules 10 through 160. Materials vary—carbon steel, stainless steel, and exotic alloys—and you confidently switch between GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (Stick) to match the procedure. You review ISOs and P&IDs to confirm routing and details, then move from flat to vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions without breaking rhythm.

• Produce x‑ray quality welds in shop or field across all positions (including 6G), following supervisor direction and specifications.
• Interpret welding symbols and apply the correct process for various piping systems and procedures.
• Install pipe, supports, valves, and related components; assist with mechanical project execution as needed.
• Test completed systems and finalize related work per plans and specifications.
• Fit, clamp, tack, grind, and bolt assemblies to achieve precise alignment before welding.
• Mark finished welds by stamping, painting, or labeling per welder ID requirements.

• Proficiency in GTAW and SMAW for pressure piping on multiple materials.
• Ability to read and apply ISOs and P&IDs accurately.
• Hands-on experience with pipe threaders, burning torches, grinders, porta‑band saws, chain falls, and hand tools; familiarity with mobile equipment such as fork trucks and high‑reach lifts.

• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including PPE: safety glasses, face masks, gloves, work boots, harnesses, and site‑required gear.
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers, supervisors, and clients.
• Willingness to travel and to work overtime when required.

• Lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
• Use hands to handle, control, and feel tools and components according to set procedures.
• Perform repetitive movements as part of daily tasks.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–7 years of pipe welding experience.

• Possess valid identification to work in United States.
• Must have ability to pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
