Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical OrthopedicsWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Orthopedics team. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients with orthopedic and surgical conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient safety, and the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of all patients.Provide comprehensive assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patients for reactions and side effects.Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to formulate and adjust care plans.Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and health maintenance.Document all patient interactions accurately and in compliance with facility protocols using the Epic charting system.Manage multiple priorities and effectively coordinate care for a diverse patient population, including orthopedic trauma and other surgical patients.QualificationsCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical or orthopedic setting; preferred experience in Level 1 trauma.Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs as necessary.Availability to work weekends; every other Saturday/Sunday day shifts and Friday/Saturday night shifts.Work ScheduleThis position is a night shift role requiring three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, with no block scheduling options available.Additional InformationPatient-to-nurse ratio: 1:3-4 during the day and 1:4-5 at night.Onsite parking: Daily parking fees apply based on attendance schedule.Shuttle service available from an offsite garage for added convenience during weekdays.If you are a compassionate and skilled RN looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic orthopedic unit, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
