Business Development AssociateThe Business Development Associate will report to the Senior Manager of Business Development, and is responsible for the sale of primarily Lehigh Valley Phantoms group, hospitality & season membership ticket packages, as well as group & hospitality ticket packages for events at the PPL Center, to maximize and help the team & arena to grow in attendance and revenue. As a high performing sales team in the American Hockey League, we are looking for the next wave of sales stars to take us even higher!Job ResponsibilitiesSelling Lehigh Valley Phantoms & PPL Center events group & hospitality ticket packages as well as season membership packagesYou will have the ability to sell Phantoms season ticket packages, as well as other Phantoms ticket packages throughout the course of the seasonBe the official liaison of the PPL Center to groups of all sizes – with the flexibility to create unique wonderful memories for the groups you work withCall current and past customers and cold-call new sales leads to generate salesContact area businesses and individuals via phone, in-person appointments and networking events to sell season tickets, partial plans and group ticket plansWork all home games, performing various ticket sales and service duties throughout the gameBuild relationships to provide repeat business and excellent customer serviceAchieve and exceed weekly, monthly and annual sales goals established by sales managementAct proactively to create opportunities for new business with existing customersQualificationsBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceDemonstrate a proven track record in sales and building quality relationshipsHave a friendly and professional presentation & speaking mannerStrong desire to learn about our business and grow your professional careerEffectively express ideas verbally and in writingIndependently take action beyond what is called forBe able to generate original and imaginative solutions to business opportunitiesDemonstrate a positive attitudeMaintain a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidaysWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
