Job Title Physician – Department of Internal Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine, Internal Medicine/Pediatrics (Open Rank/Track Faculty) Department The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center Position Overview Interested candidates will work in an outpatient Med‑Peds primary care setting with opportunities for inpatient time and teaching. Clinicians may also engage in collaborative research and quality improvement. Duties and Responsibilities Provide licensed medical care including diagnosis, treatment, case management and clinical research. Direct and provide patient care services in outpatient and, if desired, inpatient settings. Conduct ambulatory clinics, interview patients, obtain and review medical histories, perform physical examinations. Order procedures, diagnostic testing and ancillary services. Determine, prescribe and implement treatment plans and medications. Document all services and instructions in the medical record. Educate patients and families, promote wellness, prevention and early detection. Participate in quality assessment and improvement activities. Serve as preceptor and provide training of residents, fellows and medical students. Ensure continuing medical education requirements are met and participate in committees and other service activities. Requirements Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), board certified or board eligible in the required specialization. State of Ohio and DEA licensure required.
