The ideal candidate will have experience in garment construction, alterations, and sewing techniques. Part Time : 20 Hours a week Key Responsibilities: • Read and interpret patterns, sketches, and technical drawings. • Perform fittings and make adjustments to ensure proper garment fit for both child and adult apparel. Provide actionable feedback to improve product design. • Collaborate with designers and production team to meet quality and timeline standards. • Inspect finished garments for accuracy, quality, and consistency. • Maintain a professional report with research participants during fitting sessions and follow safety protocols. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in sewing or fashion is a plus. • Proven experience as a seamstress or in garment construction. • Proficiency in hand sewing and operating industrial sewing machines. • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Good communication and time management skills. Preferred Skills: • Experience with specialty fabrics (e.g., silk, leather, stretch materials). • Knowledge of pattern making and garment design. • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, or a related field.
