Lead HVAC Mechanic

Location: St. Louis, MO

Salary: $31.32 per hour base + $5.09 hourly fringe benefits (added comp including $1500 signing bonus)

Schedule: Full-Time M-F 7AM-3PM


Overview: We are seeking a dependable and experienced Lead HVAC Mechanic to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC systems within a mission-critical facilities environment. This role is ideal for an HVAC professional with strong troubleshooting abilities and hands-on experience maintaining large commercial mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment and mechanical systems
• Maintain and repair air handlers, VAV components, and large commercial heating and cooling systems
• Troubleshoot HVAC system issues and determine effective repair solutions
• Ensure HVAC systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with facility standards
• Support ongoing facility operations and mechanical maintenance activities
• Complete maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs in a timely manner
• Utilize workplace safety procedures and follow established maintenance protocols
• Assist with additional facility maintenance duties as needed
• Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial HVAC maintenance, repair, or building operations
• EPA Universal Certification required
• Ability to obtain NATE Certification within 6 months of hire required
• Valid driver s license required
• Trade school training preferred but not required
• Strong understanding of HVAC preventive and corrective maintenance procedures
• Knowledge of workplace and facility safety practices
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple assignments
• Work will be performed within commercial facility and mechanical environments
• Exposure to machinery, mechanical systems, varying temperatures, dust, and noise may occur
