ABOUT THE ROLE

CountryPlace Mortgage, a leading nationwide personal property, mortgage and commercial lender headquartered in Plano, TX, is seeking a Senior Loan Officer to help grow our Originations Department. This in-person role is in our Plano, TX office. As a Senior Loan Officer, you will collaborate with Loan Processors, Underwriting, Compliance team and other essential departments. The Senior Loan Officer will be responsible for managing relationships with retailers and other partners. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a deep understanding of lending products, and the ability to guide borrowers through the loan process with professionalism and care.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adept at managing relationships with assigned retailers by originating loans and providing high quality service
• Provide unparalleled service to borrowers ensuring that their needs are met in a timely and accurate manner
• Exceptional at guiding borrowers through the loan process, from application to closing
• Present and explain different loan options to borrowers and retailers
• Adept at communicating denial reasons to the retailer, to effectively maintain the relationship
• Expert in communicating loan approval to retailer and customer, selling benefits of our program to win loan
• Work with internal staff to provide alternatives to turn denials into approvals
• Reviews conditions submitted on approved loans, clears conditions when appropriate and submits to Credit Analyst for review and approval
• Ensure loans adhere to investor guidelines
• Ability to adjust work and thought process to accommodate multiple investor guidelines
• Employ a strong sense of urgency and ownership
• Demonstrate a professional work ethic in all facets of completing work duties
• Recognized expert and leader among loan originators, underwriters and lending associates
• Consistently meets and exceeds objectives
• Consistently meets and exceeds individual, team and department objectives
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS, CAPABILITIES & SKILLS

• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• BA/BS degree required in Marketing, Business, Accounting, Finance or Management
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and financial calculator
• 3 years of Manufactured Housing Loan Officer experience OR
• 5+ years of Loan Officer experience
