Description Overview

Pre-Weight of manufacturing batches using a copy of master formula documentation. Duties include weighing of raw materials, checking expiration date using SAP system, monitoring weighting procedures, setting up and operating of various scales used in the weighing process, movement of materials to and from weight rooms/weighting areas, signing batch records and making log entries. Cleaning of weight rooms and area.

This is a union position. Pay rate is $26.20 per hour.

Scope of the Role

Pre-Weigher is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

• Follow written instructions and all SOPs for Weighing/Manufacturing

• Follow all steps involved in the weighing of Raw Materials
• Weighing Raw Material from copy of master formula documents
• Staging and pre-paring of raw material to the manufacturing department
• Clean of weight room and area as needed
• Moving materials to and from the weighting area
• Signing batch records and make log entries
• Cooperate with QA inspectors
• Follow appropriate cleaning procedures
• Maintain operating schedule
• Maintain daily professional work relation with division employees, managers, and supervisors
• Follow all safety rules, company policies and procedures
• Complete signoffs as required by the SOP
• Other duties as required by supervisor

Experience Required

HS Diploma or GED.

Additional Position Requirements:

• Must be able to lift materials/equipment weighing between 25-50 lbs.
• Must be able to wear full/half face respirator Americans with Disabilities Specifications:

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The work environment is our indoor manufacturing and packaging facility.
