Clinical Shift Schedule: 8-hour days Monday - Friday; procedures in the morning (7:30 AM - 12:00 PM), inpatient/rounding in afternoons

On-Call Shift Schedule: 24-hour call (Monday 7:00 AM - Monday 7:00 AM)

Call Type: Inpatient + Phone

Call Ratio: Approximately 2 weeks per month

COVERAGE DATES

July 13 (7:00 AM) - July 18 (7:00 AM)

August 24 (7:00 AM) - August 29 (7:00 AM)

August 31 (7:00 AM) - September 7 (7:00 AM)

December 28 (7:00 AM) - January 4 (7:00 AM)

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics: Adults (18+)

Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 4-9 procedures per day; clinic patients scheduled every 40 minutes when applicable

Admissions: Included

Rounding: Included (afternoons and weekends)

Phone Consults: Included

Case Mix: General gastroenterology (no ERCP or EUS)

FACILITY INFORMATION

Office Equipment Available: Standard GI procedural equipment

Specialty Backup Available: Anesthesiology onsite

Support Staff Available: PA support during daytime; IT and service line support available 24/7

Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (with clean file)

Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days

Licenses: PA license required or willingness to obtain
Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology

Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience
Other Qualifications: Comfortable managing combined procedural, clinic, and inpatient workflow
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform scheduled GI procedures and manage inpatient consults
Provide outpatient clinic coverage as needed
Participate in 24-hour call rotation
Round on hospital and ER consult patients
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and support staff
Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
