About the Position

Job Title: Medical Lab Technician
Location: Detroit, MI 48202
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 5x8-Hour Rotation (10:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 40 Hours

Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, performs laboratory testing on blood and other body fluid specimens using manual methods and laboratory instruments. Follows established protocols and may perform phlebotomy as needed.

Required Education:

Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science

Required Certification:

Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA)

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 2–3 years of recent experience in a similar role
Experience with Beckman Coulter equipment (AU system preferred)
Experience with Sunquest LIS and laboratory automation preferred

Required Skills:

Strong technical and theoretical laboratory knowledge
Good communication skills

This is a 13-week contract position with night shift rotation (10:30 PM – 7:00 AM).
