JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion seeks a student assistant to support creative and educational initiatives. General office hours for DEI are 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend work required for programming and outreach.JOB ROLES:
Support DEI Division social media outreach, including DEI, Title IX, and Title VI programming Collaborate closely with the Creative & Educational Initiatives student assistant Supervised by the Coordinator of Multicultural Initiatives SPECIFIC DUTIES (and related career readiness skills) INCLUDE: Develop graphics, promotional materials, and visually engaging content aligned with DEI branding [communication, technology] Create "Did You Know?" educational campaigns that highlight cultural histories, identities, and contributions [communication, equity & inclusion] Produce videos, Google Slides, and other digital educational resources [technology] Explore creative, culturally respectful methods of sharing accurate and empowering information [critical thinking, equity & inclusion] Assist with social media content creation and digital storytelling [communication, teamwork] Support presentations and workshops through content development and occasional co-facilitation [communication, equity & inclusion, teamwork] Represent DEI at campus events and help promote educational initiatives [communication, critical thinking] Track engagement and participation data for digital and in-person programming [critical thinking]PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Creative, detail-oriented, comfortable with digital tools, and committed to culturally respectful educational workWORK STUDY POSITION OVERVIEW:
